Arachne Crack
Sitting in my car, I saw a spider making his way across the windshield... When I realized he was on the inside, I immediately reacted by punching, to smash him against the glass... An enormous crack appeared in the windshield as the spider, having mysteriously survived, casually left the scene of attempted murder-- I didn't care about the spider anymore as I was agitated with myself and worried about the condition of the windshield... An indelible reminder of the spider remained, as the crack in the windshield has a remarkable resemblance to a spider or its web... Here is my first attempt at transcending the general ugliness of the situation by using it for aesthetic indulgence...
p.s... Everyday, I stare at the crack and sing to myself the Brian Eno song, "Spider and I":
Spider and I, sit watching the sky
On a world without sound
We knit a web to catch one tiny fly
For our world without sound
